• Bipolar disorder. This is characterized by incidents of despair that is commonly serious, and sporadic occurrences of tremendous happiness usually known as mania. It is more commonly known as manic depression. Antidepressants are usually given to persons with this kind of disorder which are mixed with medicines prescribed to stabilize a person’s frame of mind.
• Seasonal depression. This is commonly tagged as cyclic emotional illness that happens only on a particular period of the year, most especially during winter that is why it is also known as winter blues. It is a kind of disorder that is foreseeable but it can be very serious.
Causes of depression
The source of depression is widely unidentified. However, there are some speculations regarding this condition which include the decreased performance of one and even more neurotransmitters in the brain like norepinephrine, dopamine, and serotonin. Also, the substance receptor areas have no ability to possibly attach the substances serotonin and norepinephrine together.
There are also some factors that are regarded as the source of depression. Genetics, personality, economic standing of the family, medical ailments, medicines, dependency on substances, aging, deficient social sustainability and insufficient diet are some of the culprits that trigger depression.
